Chili bird eye is widely used as a spice in traditional cuisine, especially in South East Asia such as Malaysia, Indonesia and Thailand. In Malaysia, bird eyed chilies are grown for daily use around the house, which is now being grown commercially. Birdseye chilies are only serving 10% of the local market's demand.
