Apple exporters from Turkey report that they had to stop all export operations to India for the time due to the 21-day lockdown in India because of the coronavirus.
Turkey is the world's 3rd biggest apple grower with an annual production volume of 3,500 kmt. The country has exported 256 kmt of apples in 2019 and generated an export revenue of 90 million USD. Iraq was the top export destination for Turkish apple exporters.
