The National Meteorology and Hydrology Service of Peru (Senamhi) reports that the rains recorded in recent weeks in the Andean region are creating favorable conditions for the start of the 2025–2026 agricultural campaign. According to the agrometeorological monitoring of Senamhi, the precipitation recorded to date has contributed to the development of crops planted during the "Chica" 2025 campaign, such as potatoes, artichokes, corn, and other Andean products that are currently in different stages of growth. Furthermore, the accumulated soil moisture has allowed the commencement of plowing and sowing activities corresponding to the "Grande" 2025–2026 campaign, especially in agricultural areas that depend on seasonal rains.
