Demand for raw products from Nigeria has declined since the outbreak of Corona Virus. Stakeholders envisage a fall in exports of over $100 million in the cocoa sector as a result of declining prices due to falling demand in Europe.
Cocoa, sesame seed, and cashew are produced in Nigeria to cater for the export market and in order to reduce the loss of revenue, the Nigerian export promotion council is removing red tapes that hinder the movement of essential goods and services. To sustain exports, a British Airways Cargo has been commissioned for exports to the United Kingdom, European Union countries and the United States.
