Once again drought: The Rural Society of Rosario issued an alert over the lack of rainfall that is hitting the southern part of Santa Fe and raising alarms in the area.
The lack of rainfall has once again put the productive heart of southern Santa Fe at risk. The Rosario Rural Society warned of a "serious productive situation" in the southeast of the province, where the water deficit is already fully impacting soybean and corn crops, right at a key stage for yield definition. According to a statement released by the organization, the region is going through a new period of drought after a spring that had generated more favorable expectations. However, the summer precipitation regime did not cooperate and today many plots show clear symptoms of water stress, with losses beginning to consolidate.
