Cashew Kernel Prices Experienced Slight Increase in W3 in Vietnam as Manufacturers Prepared for Lunar New Year

With the approaching Lunar New Year, local manufacturers in Vietnam have ceased operations to prepare for the Tet holiday, and exporters are focusing on completing pending shipments before the break. Forward offers for cashew kernels indicate a slight increase in W3, with prices for WW320 cashew offered around USD 2.36 to 2.40 per pound (lb), FOB Ho Chi Minh (EU – US quality as per AFI standard), with shipments scheduled for Mar-24 to May-24 As for WW240, all available shipments are forward from Mar-24 onwards, and the price is approximately USD 2.70 to 2.75/lb, FOB Ho Chi Minh (EU – US quality as per AFI standard). The scarcity of raw materials makes it less likely to find any prompt shipments of WW240 currently in the market.
