The Chuncheon Farmers' Association Council urged Chuncheon City and the local agricultural cooperative to devise support measures, citing ongoing supply and demand instability and price surges in agricultural materials. The council issued a statement on the 16th, arguing that "due to the instability in the Middle East, international oil prices and raw material prices have risen, leading to ongoing supply and demand instability and price surges in agricultural materials." They claimed, "The price of tax-free oil is approaching 1,500 won, and key materials such as urea and compound fertilizers are out of stock or sales are restricted, putting the agricultural sector in crisis." In response, the council called for measures including the immediate formation of an emergency response team, the temporary expansion of tax-free oil support, and the securing of supply volumes and price stabilization measures for key farming materials. Finally, the council emphasized that "a responsible response is urgently needed to protect the livelihoods of farmers and ensure food security in the region." Reporter Son Ji-chan
