The price of domestic carrots in Japan has almost doubled YoY in W37. Heavy rains in mid-August caused serious damage to the crop in northern Japan, where 90% of the carrots for September and October come from. In W37, the northern Japan carrot supply decreased by 50% to 200MT, compared to 400MT last year. The situation is forecasted to last until November when carrot harvests in eastern Japan start.
