Egyptian Onion Prices Surged by 25% MoM in Aug-24 Due to High Demand and Low Supply

In Aug-24, the price of fresh onions in Egypt surged by 25% month-on-month (MoM), reaching USD 609.76/ton (EGP 30,000/ton) compared to USD 508.14/ton (EGP 25,000/ton) in Jul-24. This significant increase is due to high demand and low supply levels in the market.
