Since May 2021, Indonesia can export cassava (HS 0714) to the European Union at a Tariff rate of 6% with a 165,000 MT per year quota. The Indonesia-EU agreement for cassava products results from Britain's exit from the European Union (Brexit). This agreement was ratified by signing a ratification document in the form of Exchange of Letters (EOL) on 11 May 2021. The Cassava Export realization from Indonesia to the EU in 2021 is still far below the quota. Indonesia exported 109.000 MT in 2021, only 66% of the total quota. There are still many opportunities for Indonesia exporters to market Cassava to the EU.
