Malaysia-China trade relations in Palm Oil are expected to increase until 2023

Exports of palm oil products to China showed an increase of more than 18% in 2019 after having declined for seven consecutive years. In addition, total exports are expected to increase as China declares its commitment to purchase 1.7 million tonnes of palm oil from Malaysia by 2023. This is seen as providing more opportunities for the palm oil industry to grow in China, and further strengthen trade relations between these 2 countries.
