Price Increase of Gayo Aceh Arabica Green Bean Coffee in Indonesian Market Since 2022

Gayo Aceh's Arabica green bean coffee price has experienced a high increase since October 2022. The green bean prices at the producer level have experienced a 30% increase compared to 2021. This increase applies to all grades including low grades. This positive price trend is opposite to global coffee prices which are currently showing a downward trend. The price increase was driven by big exporters who bought up all coffee supplies on the market to close the long and volume contracts they had agreed with their clients before the end of 2022.
