Shortage of Peruvian and Chilean Murcott

With the Peruvian and Chilean murcott hardly seen at the moment due to the ending season in November, there is building demand for mandarins. California will start in November, making it more challenging to find available fruit. It is forecasted that Morocco and Spain forecast exports should have a good year due to the shortages. The price of Chilean murcott stood at USD 25.00 FOB on the 15kg box. Not a lot of big sizes in the market but there are prices out there as low as a USD 20.00 FOB on Peruvian 10kg coming from Miami.
