Turkish buyers import mangoes from Brazil via the Netherlands

Some Turkish importers purchase Brazilian mangoes via the Netherlands. The transit time from South America to Turkey makes it risky for buyers to import directly from South America as any potential delay could significantly curtail the shelf life of the products. For this reason, Turkish buyers prefer to purchase mangoes from the Netherlands where they already have the products in stock and where there is less likelihood of a delay of transit. By doing this, Turkish buyers reduce their risk of waste.
