Turkish export companies are kept waiting at Bulgaria's border for analysis results, and each truck has to be controlled depending on product type, which causes logistics delays and problems with customers. The Mediterranean Exporters' Association has announced in an official letter that over the past year, the Bulgarian government has changed the laboratories used and recently switched to laboratories that are far away from the border and that have limited capacity. Due to this, Turkish trucks that should be passing within 6-8 hours are being held at the border for 36 hours. The main reason is the change in government in Bulgaria that wants to use the preferred laboratories.
