It's nearly the end of GEN 1 for NAM DOK MAI yellow mango crops. Its fruit weight is over 400g which is not popular in the South Korean and Japanese markets.
GEN 1 crops have been locally sold on Facebook, Instagram, and retailing application platforms i.e. Shoppee, Lazada, by growers themself. However, it could not sell at a high price as same as the export price; USD 1.5-1.95/kg. Selling at social media price is USD 0.33-0.45/kg with DAP buyer.
However, GEN 2 is gradually launching into the market with a size of 16-18 fruits per 5 Kg. box which is a new popular size for South Korea and Japanese markets. The local price with EXW farm is about USD 2-3/kg. The harvesting period of this GEN will be until the middle of June.
