Barley price in Argentina surged by +40.09% YoY to USD 0.28.kg in W4 Apr-22. Increased cattle production in Brazil led to a rise in demand for Argentine barley. While China has imposed high tariffs (80.5%) on Australian barley push China seeks Argentine barley to fill the gap in supply. High demand for Argentine barley from the major importing market push the price to increase in April 2022.
