Jordan purchased 50,000 tons of barley in a tender out of the planned 120,000 tons.

According to information from European traders, on February 11, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Jordan held an international tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley of any origin, on which it purchased from the company Ameropa 50,000 tons of barley with shipment from May 1 to May 15 at a price of $284/ton C&F Aqaba. Also, barley at the tender was offered by the companies Bunge (at a price of $286.45/ton C&F), Olam ($289.45/ton C&F), and Dreyfus ($290/ton C&F). The next tender for the purchase of 120,000 tons of feed barley is scheduled for February 18. Recall that at the international tender on December 17, the Jordanian state grain purchaser MIT purchased from the company Souflett 60,000 tons (of the planned 120,000 tons) of feed barley for delivery in the first half of March 2026 at a price of $270/ton C&F (including freight).
