US High Import of Vietnamese Black Pepper Leads The Price to Increase

The wholesale price of black pepper in Vietnam rose by+6.3% WoW and +13.24% month-on-month in W2 January 2022. The price stood at USD 4.19 per kg in W2 January 2022, which was USD 3.74 per kg in the previous month. High demand in the US for Vietnamese black pepper increased import by 48.5% YoY in the first ten months of 2021 also harvest season on Vietnamese black pepper in January led the price to soar in January 2022.
