The wholesale price of large cassava in Thailand decreased by -35.02% YoY to 0.53 USD/KG in W3 January 2022. The price decline also occurred in the wholesale price of small cassava in Thailand which fell by -25.41% YoY to 0.45 USD/KG in the same period. The price decline was due to farmers shifting to rice because the harvest was more profitable which lowered prices in the domestic market. Smuggling from neighboring countries has also dragged prices down further.
