Law resulting from the MP that allocates R$ 83.5 million for agricultural health has been published.

Published in the Official Gazette of the Union this Monday (9) was the law resulting from the provisional measure that opened an extraordinary credit of R$ 83.5 million for the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock, focusing on strengthening the actions of agricultural defense. Law 15,347, of 2026, was promulgated by the president of Congress, Senator Davi Alcolumbre, after approval of the text by the Senate on Tuesday (3). Provisional Measure 1,312/2025, which originated the law, was published in September 2025 and has been in effect since then. The resources are intended for the prevention and control of agricultural emergencies, such as the one caused by avian influenza, which led to the declaration of a zoosanitary emergency state throughout the national territory last year. The extraordinary credit is also aimed at combating the carambola fly, cocoa moniliasis, and cassava witch's broom pests.
