Dried Chickpea Wholesale Price Index Steady but Remains High in Turkey and Mexico

The Wholesale Price Index for dried chickpeas was steady in major markets. Turkey showed a fairly high WPI reaching 219.3 in early August 2021. Meanwhile, Mexico showed a WPI of 109.4 entering the second week of July 2021 along with the shrinking of dried chickpeas production in Mexico. Shortened production of dried chickpeas in major producing and exporting countries can keep prices high in the market.
