Indonesian Peanut Prices Drop as Buyers Take a "Wait-and-see"-attitude

Wholesale peanut prices in Indonesia dropped 9% MoM, to USD 1.79/kg in the week ended 25 April. Indonesia imported 125,734 mt of peanuts for the three months ending February. These large exports are nearly half of Indonesia's usual annual imports. After these large imports, buyers have taken a step back to reassess the market situation, which led to a reduction in demand, and subsequent drop in prices.
