The Wholesale Price of Fresh Nectarine in Russia Plunged 53.72% YoY Due to Weak Demand

The wholesale price of fresh Nectarine in Russia plunged 53.72% YoY to USD 1.64/kg in W4 of May-22. An ample supply of nectarines coming from Turkey and a lesser amount from Egypt caused the price to fall. Also, weaker demand, mainly caused by Russia's inflation, contributed to the overall situation. According to official Rosstat data, annual inflation is currently 17.5%.
