In 2020, demand for grapes soared from Asian countries and the US. Exports continued to increase, especially from major exporters such as Chile and China. China even increased its import quota from Chile. Global exports from both countries showed an increase due to increasing demand from major importers. While prices show opposite values in both markets, Chile is down around 14% while grape prices in China are up 38%. On the Chilean market, red globe varieties decline further until the beginning of the year, while China shows sharp fluctuations, especially around November to January. Now the price of grapes in June for the Chilean market is around 0.67 USD per KG while China is selling at 1.88 USD per KG.
