RAINFOREST COFFEE Import is a company established by farmer
José Francisco Cuellár Fajardo. We have a large distribution
warehouse in the EU – Czech Republic, from which we import to the
whole world.
The mountain farm Finca Jerusalén was established in 1869 and is
located in Honduras, near the town of Trinidad, in the Santa Barbara
region. Coffee cultivation on this farm has been passed down from
father to son, with the most recent in the line of farmers being José
Francisco Cuellár Fajardo.
The farm covers an area of 120 hectares and is situated at an
elevation of 1350-1650 meters in a tropical mountain rainforest, and
the GESHA variety was first cultivated by the farmer's grandfather, a
tradition successfully continued by our farmer. Every year, hundreds
of new coffee trees are planted. Thanks to the unique mountain
rainforest conditions, the GESHA variety thrives on this farm. The
trees are healthy and yield beautiful cherries.
Coffee trees are planted among native tropical trees, citrus trees,
and banana plants. This provides the coffee with ideal conditions for
growing in shade and semi-shade, allowing the coffee to naturally
absorb all the necessary nutrients from the soil without the need for
fertilizers. These specific and natural conditions result in the coffee
cherries having fresh citrus and fruity notes, for which our GESHA is
renowned.
