VemoHerb TS Bulgarian Tribulus terrestris 80% Herba dry extract

VemoHerb TS Bulgarian Tribulus terrestris 80% Herba dry extract
(http://www.vemo-vsv.com/en/products/herbal-extracts/tribulus-terrestris/)

Characteristics of the plant Tribulus terrestris L.
Tribulus terrestris L. is a herbaceous perennial plant from the Zigophyllaceae family, with a lot of branching, forming flat patches long stems, common in stony places in the warm parts of the country. The researches about the main natural components in the plant – saponins, had been made in Bulgar-ia. Steroid saponins from furostanol and spirostanol types and sapogenins have been isolated. In the saponins mix, predominate the furostanol saponins protodioscin and protogracilin.
Flavonol glycosides like astragalin, tribuloside, rutin, tannic compounds and oils are also found. For Tribulus terrestris plant extract production we use the whole areal part of the plant (herba), harvested in the flowering period.
The plant
Tribulus terrestris grows well in moderate and tropical climates and the plant is most commonly found in wild, dry and stony habitats. That is why it thrives in the warmer regions of Bulgaria and here it ac-cumulates a specific bouquet of natural components that are not present in Tribulus growing else-where in the world.
