Indonesia usually acquires corn starch from China, but this season, the price in China increased significantly due to less availability. The price of Chinese corn starch in Indonesia for W35 was between USD525-USD530 per MT, but it increased to USD580-USD600 per MT in W37. The increasing corn starch prices have Indonesian importers exploring new supplying countries. Many importers are looking to source from Turkey.
