As the month of Ramadan is approaching, the demand for Iranian dates is rising exponentially in the Pakistani local market. Iranian dates are preferred over the local Pakistani dates by the majority of the people in Pakistan due to their softness and taste. This is why as the month of Ramadan approaches every year, Pakistan becomes one of the biggest importers of Iranian dates, and the demand increases by more than 100%, causing a hike in the prices and shortage in the local market.
