The top three countries with the largest production were Greece (220K MT), Spain (180K MT, a significant increase from the 158K MT produced in 2021) and France (150K MT). This shows a steady growth in the fish meal industry in Europe, with Spain experiencing the most significant increase in production compared to the previous year.
