In January 2021 Kazakhstan companies produced 7.2k MT of fresh, chilled or frozen fish which is 4.2 times more than a year earlier. The production of canned and prepared in other ways fish, as well as caviar, increased 5.5 times and reached 3.6k MT. In value terms, processing and preserving of fish, crustaceans, and mollusks amounted to 2.1 billion tenge - 53.6% more than a year earlier.
