In 2025, the Ministry of Agriculture implemented a set of measures aimed at expanding the export destinations of domestic agricultural products and strengthening Kazakhstan's positions in global markets. Following negotiations with seven states, 16 veterinary certificates were agreed upon and signed, opening up new opportunities for external supplies. In particular, access to foreign markets was secured for the export of milk, meat of cattle and small ruminants, poultry meat, honey, and fish to Azerbaijan; live small ruminants to Mongolia; animal feed to Morocco; and hides and skins of cloven-hoofed animals to Iran. The European Union also opened its market to Kazakhstan's beekeeping products. Against the backdrop of growing international demand, there was a significant increase in meat exports.
