A Promising 2023 Industrial Apple Harvest Season in Turkey

The industrial apple harvest season in Turkey is proceeding according to standard schedules. The 2023 season began in early Sept-23, and it appears to be progressing well for fruit juice producers, with affordable prices. Initially, prices were around USD 0.15 per kilogram (kg) at the start of the harvest, but by Oct-23, it decreased to approximately USD 0.09 to 0.10/kg. Producers of fruit juice and fruit juice concentrate are securing solid sales contracts, particularly from buyers in the United States (US) and Germany. The harvest season is expected to continue until the end of Oct-23 and may extend into mid-November, depending on rain forecasts.
