Local copra exporters are buying less edible copra from farmer

Though there is still good demand for export of the edible copra product, traders and exporter are now buying less edible copra from farmer. Trader is focusing more on white copra to produce added value product such as the coconut oils. This is due to the current high container shipping cost and shorter shelf life of the edible copra.
