Turkey's tomato and tomato product exports reach 496 million USD in 2020

According to the information disclosed by the Aegean Exporter Unions, Turkey's tomato and tomato product exports in the January-October period of 2020 have reached 496 million USD. Turkey ranked fourth in the world in fresh tomato production. In the period from 2001 to 2019, Turkey's fresh tomato production increased by around 50% and reached 13,000 kmt.
In the first 10 months of 2020, 252 million USD worth of fresh tomatoes, 131 million USD worth of tomato paste, 65 million USD worth of dried tomatoes, 27 million USD worth of frozen tomatoes, 16 million USD worth of tomato sauces and ketchup, 2 million USD worth of tomato juice, and 1 million USD worth of peeled tomatoes were exported from Turkey
