Vietnam's Surimi and Fishmeal Exports Dropped by 25% YoY in May-24

Vietnam's exports of surimi and fishmeal continued to decline in May-24. The export value for this month reached just over USD 23 million, a 25% year-over-year (YoY) decrease. Cumulatively, in the first five months of 2024, Vietnam's exports of surimi and fishmeal reached over USD 106 million, a drop of 15% YoY. As of W26, Vietnam's surimi and fishmeal products are exported to 34 markets worldwide. Among these, South Korea, Thailand, China, Hong Kong, Japan, and the European Union (EU) are the five largest importers of these products from Vietnam.
