The expansion of the network of missile sites to combat hailstorms has been one of the main issues addressed in recent months, after several consecutive years of farmers suffering serious damage during the hail season. Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture and Food approved in 2025 the start of construction of new sites in existing areas, as well as in places where they cannot do so for various reasons, to switch to the use of silver iodide generators to break up the dangerous clouds. To alleviate the state budget, funds are also planned in the Strategic Plan for Agricultural Development, which are included in the fourth amendment of the document, as Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Food Ivan Kapitanov clarified during a meeting of the agricultural commission in Parliament.
