10 Myanmar companies plan to export Burmese beans to the European market

According to the Myanmar Beans Export Industry Supervisory Board, 10 companies have proposed exporting Myanmar beans used to cultivate bean sprouts to European countries. ​ In the 2024 bean season, 10 companies, including 4 new companies, have proposed to export mung beans to European countries, and have discussed with these companies how to set up training courses to popularize knowledge to farmers, how to inspect farmers' planting areas and Purchase station, etc. ​ In the 2023 bean season, from March to October, Myanmar exported 8,397 tons of mung beans to the European market. ​ In 2015, Myanmar established an industry supervisory board for the export of Myanmar beans used to cultivate bean sprouts to European countries.
