The Turkish Statistical Institute has reported a 16.1% increase in chicken meat production in November 2021 compared to the same month in the previous year, with a total production of 197 thousand 334 tons. However, chicken egg production saw a decrease of 3.9% in the same period. The number of slaughtered chickens also increased by 13.7% in November 2021 compared to November 2020. The institute also noted a decrease of 1.9% in turkey meat production in the same period. Overall, chicken meat production increased by 4.3% from January to November 2021, but chicken egg production and turkey meat production decreased by 2.4% and 14,8% respectively during the same period.
