On September 23, a cross-border cold chain truck carrying 19.8 tons of fresh durian from Cambodia arrived at the Friendship Pass Port. This marks the first time that fresh durian from Cambodia has been imported into Guangxi since it was approved for entry into China. It is also the first time that fresh durian from Cambodia has entered Guangxi since the China (Beihai)-Cambodia Agricultural Products Promotion Conference in June of this year.
Liang Meimei, manager of Guangxi Xinjiu International Logistics Co., Ltd., introduced that this batch of Cambodian durians departed from Cambodia, was transported by road to the Friendship Pass Port after passing through the Mu Pai Port in Vietnam, and after completing customs clearance procedures, it will be distributed to secondary markets such as Nanning and Guangzhou.
Data shows that in the first eight months of this year, 837,000 tons of imported fruits entered through the Friendship Pass Port, a year-on-year increase of 57%, among which 476,000 tons of imported durians, a year-on-year increase of 22.7%.
