Argentina's corn harvest has advanced by 5.6% and is now at 54.9%, with the best yields found in the southern core region at 9,700 kg/ha (154.2 bu/ac). However, yields are expected to decline as the harvest progresses due to corn leafhoppers and corn stunt disease, with the current national yield averaging 6,930 kg/ha (110.1 bu/ac) and projected to decrease further. The Buenos Aires Grain Exchange has not changed their corn estimate of 46.5 million tons.
