Tridge summary

Spring planting has begun in earnest across the Midwest and South, with 12% of corn and 8% of soybeans already planted, matching last year's pace and surpassing the five-year average. However, progress varies by region due to weather conditions. Some areas are experiencing heavy rainfall, delaying planting, while others are dealing with dry soil. Farmers are also facing challenges in obtaining certain seed varieties and experiencing fluctuations in input costs. Two weather systems are expected to bring continuous rain from Thursday to Monday, which could further delay planting. Despite these challenges, farmers are optimistic about the upcoming morel mushroom season.
