The Thai government has initiated its annual royal rainmaking programme, deploying 30 aircraft for cloud-seeding operations to create artificial rain. The initiative, which will run during March and April across all 77 provinces, aims to combat air pollution, alleviate dry weather conditions in agricultural areas, prevent hailstorms and forest fires, and address smog and PM2.5 pollution issues. The artificial rain will also help replenish water supplies in reservoirs and dams for farming.
