Vietnam is experiencing a surge in animal feed prices, which is impacting production, due to dependence on imported feed materials and low yield of corn and soybeans. The government is studying to establish a raw material area for animal feed and has directed De Heus Group to establish cooperatives for growing cassava and maize in the Central Highlands provinces. The prices of some animal feed ingredients have increased due to the rise in world prices of raw materials, but a slight decrease is expected in the future. In July 2022, Vietnam imported 250,000 tons of soybeans and 500,000 tons of corn.
