Preliminary estimates for 2025 show that the average price of agricultural commodities in the European Union has increased by 3% compared to 2024. Over the same period, the average price of goods and services consumed in agriculture has also increased, but more moderately, by less than 1%. This rise in prices of agricultural products comes after a slight decline in 2024, which followed a series of increases from 2021 to 2023, according to the European Statistical Office. Price changes in 2025 vary significantly across different agricultural commodities. There was a sharp increase in the prices of cattle by 26% and eggs by 23%, as well as a moderate increase in the prices of fruits and poultry.
