A bill on the return of duties on sunflower and rapeseed has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada.

A draft law has been registered in the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine to amend Article 1-1 of the Law of Ukraine "On Rates of Export Duty on Seeds of Certain Oilseed Crops." The document provides for the return to farmers of funds paid in the form of export duties on soybeans and rapeseed. The draft law was developed with the participation of experts from the analytical center VAr "Smart Country" and was promptly submitted to parliament thanks to the work of a regional working group established at the initiative of VAr in Cherkasy. Over the past few weeks, its members have held intensive consultations with people's deputies, presented economic calculations, and arguments from the agrarian community. As reported by the head of VAr Andriy Dykun, the draft law was signed by people's deputies from most parliamentary factions with which the Cherkasy working group worked.
