A Golden Silk Endeavor in Anatolia: Silk Farming Initiative in Hekimhan

In Hekimhan, which was heavily impacted by earthquakes and agricultural frost, a new development model has been launched through silk farming. Within the "Golden Silk in Anatolia" project, silk worms are being distributed to producers, offering alternative income sources. In Hekimhan district of Malatya, silk worm distribution was carried out under the "Golden Silk in Anatolia" project, led by the District Agriculture and Forestry Directorate. The project aims to provide producers with a new livelihood following earthquake and agricultural frost disasters, marking a first for the district.
