(Jeonju=Yonhap News) Reporter Choi Young-soo = Jeonbuk Agricultural Cooperative announced on the 3rd that local liquor manufacturers from Jeonbuk received the Grand Prize and Excellence Award at the '2025 Our Rice, Our Liquor K-Rice Festa'.
'Dohan Cheongmaju' manufactured by Han Young-seok's Fermentation Research Institute in Jeongeup City won the Grand Prize in the medicine and clear liquor category, and 'Jiranjigyo Premium Takju' made by Friends in Sunchang County won the Excellence Award in the high-fermentation liquor category.
The Our Rice, Our Liquor K-Rice Festa is the largest domestic festival of Korean rice, where rice processed food and traditional liquor manufacturers participate, with 470 companies submitting 780 items.
Division Chief Lee Jeong-hwan said, "The hard work of the farmers and the excellence of Jeonbuk rice led to the awards," and "We will promote the branding of Jeonbuk rice processed products and widely inform national consumers about the value of Jeonbuk agriculture."
