The Ministry of Agriculture in France has reported an outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) at a turkey farm in Camoël, Morbihan, marking the second such case this season and the second since the season's start on August 12 at a poultry farm in Combourg, Ille-et-Vilaine. Both outbreaks are believed to be linked to seabirds. In response, the affected farms have been depopulated, and zones of protection and surveillance have been established. The Ministry has announced the initiation of the second vaccination campaign for ducks, set to begin on October 1, as part of a comprehensive approach that also includes animal surveillance and strict biosecurity measures to prevent the spread of HPAI.
