The Vice President and Minister for the Ecological Transition, Sara Aagesen, has urged today to reach a "solid" climate State pact, after warning that "Spain is not a spectator, but one of the first lines of impact" of the climate emergency due to its geographical position and the insular particularity of part of the territory.
"We know that climate change gives us no respite, will not give us respite and that it is accelerating," Aagesen assured, accompanied by the Ministers of Agriculture and Interior, Luis Planas and Fernando Grande-Marlaska, respectively, during the inauguration of the climate convention that will be held today and tomorrow in Ponferrada.
After highlighting the representativeness of the location in this town, a symbol of the transformation from coal to a sustainable energy transition, Aagesen pointed out the need to achieve stable and sustainable climate action with "a State pact."
"Spain is not a spectator to climate change, it is a prime..."
